STARTREC at ECT 2025 in Nancy
CEA sponsored, via the French National Research Agency, the organization of a specific session dedicated to additive manufacturing for thermoelectric materials at the European Conference on Thermoelectrics (ECT2025) in Nancy. Furthermore, CEA presented its latest results from the European STARTREC project, with both an oral presentation entitled “Silicon Germanium alloys developed by additive manufacturing: influence of thermal treatments” and a poster entitled “Effect of a Heating Plate on SiGe Alloys Manufacturing by Laser Powder Bed Fusion”.
Moreover, RGS was also represented at the conference with its own booth. There, the company provided information about the use of its thermoelectric generators (TEGs) for radioisotope batteries, which are particularly important for applications in extreme environments such as space travel or in remote areas without conventional energy supplies.
It was a pleasure meeting you and discussing the latest advances in this field!
